If you own or manage an EV charger, it’s important to comply with the Land Transport Authority (LTA)‘s required maintenance and inspection schedule.

LTA guidelines classify chargers based on location access, which affects how often inspections are needed:

• Restricted Access Locations
  These are private areas within or next to a landed residential property (e.g. detached, semi-detached, terrace, cluster homes, or townhouses) that fall under the same property title.
• Non-Restricted Access Locations
  This refers to all other locations, such as shared carparks, commercial premises, or multi-unit developments.
